Sgt. Mango Goldstein - His face has healed up, nicely. Posted by Hello

Comments:
What a cutie! I hope he heals up soon. (it is a he, right?) This reminds me, it's Friday! Time to cat blog!

yes, he is a he. :-)

did you say he's only lived with you a month? any kitty family blending tips?

we lost our 20 year old in may and got a one-eyed 10 year old in june. so mysterious these orphans...

now we have a kitten for the second week and we know not how to let them be together. they have sniffed and snorted but we just can't let go enough to let the big one slap the shit out of the little one so that she will learn her boundaries! oh my... that's not how yours was injured?

Sergeant Mango Goldstein?!!?

I've had him a little more than 2 weeks. My other cats hate him. They seem to be a little less bitter each day, though. He is a fearful boy. He stays in the bedroom and jumps up when I enter, he runs to get under the bed, but last couple days he jumps on the bed just out of reach. I talk to him and he lays down to let me pet him. He lays on the bed when I am sleeping. Saddie usually does, too. They leave a large area between them. I think it just takes time.

Yup - after some input from the Atriots. Sure makes a good change from George, doesn't it?:)

A friend of mine was feeding him and finally caught him, but the night before she caught him, he got in a major catfight with some feral cats.

Beautiful cat!

Good luck on mediating between him and the other cats in your house. Me, I'd rather try to bring about lasting peace in the Mideast. I think I'd have more success.

Ha! I'm letting them get used to each other in their own way - still a lot of hissing going on.
