It's morning somewhere

Lady Fortuna is working on her modelling. I gave notice at one of my jobs, so one of the kitties needs to get out and get a job, to keep them in cat treats. The beautiful Lady Fortuna is afraid it might be she.

****On a very sad note, the most important man in my life passed away. He was smart, kind, gentle, fair, and the most hardworking man I ever met. He taught us right from wrong, and that (just like boys) girls could change flat tires, milk cattle, drive tractors, cut ice, chop wood, kill chickens...the list goes on and on. Pa would have been 93 this year. I'm thankful that the hospital was able to give him a room, because he would not have lasted this long in the nursing home he had been discharged to, back in December. My sister was able to look in on him at lunch and after work, every day. I was able to visit at least twice a week. His mental capacity was still quite sharp, even though the cancer had metastasized into his bones. Rest in peace, Pa, you were the best father a kid could want.

The Beautiful Lady Fortuna is looking hopeful, because she knows everyone else got their treats. She thinks mom will give her some, too. It's always happened in the past, right? Right? Doesn't she deserve some treats? She's always a good girl, and she's so darned cute! She got her treats.

In my February 28, 2010 post, I showed the start of a new painting. Here is what it now looks like. A little more work, and I think I will call it finished.When I finished the second pass on the above painting, I still had a lot of paint on my palette. I decided to put the excess on a blank canvas. From the various patterns, a picture showed through. The following is from those patterns.
It's certainly not finished, but should soon be...and those pinkish flowers are now yellow:)

I know it's Friday Cat Blogging, but I wanted to share some pictures of my poor little fern. During the long difficult winter, it gets watered some, but not enough. I guess it should be happy it doesn't have to stay outside in the winter. However. In the spring, I take it out. It greens up and flourishes all summer long. When it comes in at the end of fall, it has regained its confidence and self respect... only to be tortured again. I mentioned, last spring, that it wanted to run away. In the next picture, you will see why.Oh the shame of it all. Poor little fern. Look at those leaves. They've turned brown and crackly...and look at that HUGE garden pest! Poor, poor little fern.

Here's the reason I can't make the bed! And will they make the bed after they get up??? Heck NOoooo.
As always, I'm on the lookout for kitties outside of home. This little kitty was hanging out in a tree. It asked me, "are you talkin' to me?"
In an irritable manner, the kitty asked, "I said, are you talkin' to me?"
Even though I answered the kitty several times, and told it how beautiful it was, it took off in a huff, as it told me, "I'm outta here!"
