I'm sorry I haven't uploaded any pretty kitty pictures for some time.  It's been nasty out - lots of snow.  My kitties have enjoyed not having flashes in their little eyes.  In fact, here's a picture where the flash didn't hit their eyes.

Friday Cat Blogging - Bored

I'm sorry I didn't post any pictures during the month of September. Thank you all for caring. I was tired most of the time, so I didn't make the effort to log on.

The cats have been sleeping a lot, and when I saw Rocky Girl and Lady Fortuna looking so cute, I snapped a couple shots. It's apparent that Rocky Girl was bored with the attention.

Hey, Lady, it's time for your close-up. Look at the camera when I'm snapping, please. Lady Fortuna is too busy thinking about how she would like some more Fancy Feast, or, perhaps, even some treats. I guess she will have to wait until morning. Apparently, she's okay with that. She soon took off to find a place to sleep while she waits.

Friday Cat Blogging - Ice Cats

Out on the frozen tundra, the ice cats can view a beautiful sunset.

Rocky Girl and Lady Fortuna are playing the ice cats. Their blanket is the frozen tundra, and the multicolored striped blanket over the window is their sunset. Luckily, they don't have to endure the cold to make this picture:)

Friday Cat Blogging - Sleepy Babies.

Well, we're back to the same old, same old. Looky here. Three lounging cats. Lady Fortuna's hair is growing back. Rocky Girl is barely awake, and the pretty little Parker Dmitri really isn't that little. I'm not sure if you can see her toenails, but the "thumb" nails are growing thicker and longer than any I've seen. I don't know what causes that, and I am scared to cut them. I think I'll ask her PCP when she goes to get her shots.

Lady Fortuna came home, yesterday. Of course, I immediately snapped some photos of her stitches. She wobbled around, and finally found someplace to sleep. This morning, she's feeling much better. She even got up on the new chair.

Friday Cat Blogging - Lady Fortuna

Lady Fortuna always looks so cute. She likes the beanbag better than she likes the new chair, but she managed to take the chair over for a couple days. Lady Fortuna is usually pretty happy. In the mornings, she runs into the kitchen and makes sure I see her - she wants to make sure she gets her share of Fancy Feast.

About a month ago, I noticed a lump with a small nipple coming through the skin right below her left armpit. Stupidly, I waited to see if it would go away. It's still there, so she went to the vet, tonight. The doc looked at it and said she has melanoma. She has a surgery date, next week. Hopefully, it's benign. Hopefully, we caught it soon enough.

So, there are three kitties in the first picture. Lady Fortuna is sitting up in the background, looking at the photographer. Parker Dmitri is laying down, sandwiched in between Rocky Girl and Lady Fortuna. She's not looking at the camera, but both eyes can be seen. Rocky Girl is also laying down, looking away from the camera. It's a cute picture.I was also going to post the picture taken right after that one. Lady Fortuna is sitting up in the background looking away from the camera. Parker Dmitri is still in the middle, laying down, but she is looking more toward the camera than away. Rocky Girl is laying down and looking straight at the camera. One of her ears is kind of laid back, just a tiny bit, making her look irritated. I'm sure sorry Blogger didn't allow me to upload these pictures. I think you would have enjoyed them.

Friday Cat Blogging - Time for a shot.

When I am ready to give Mango his shot, I yell, "Mango! Mango! It's time for your shot!" All the cats come running. I give him his shot, and some chicken, then I open the Fancy Feast can. Oh, boy! I have cats meowing and twirling around. I give them each a fork of it, and that makes them verrry happy.

Before the DSL guy came over, I had to move furniture. I went the extra mile and cleaned off this chair. Looks like it's filled again!

The kitties seem to enjoy the nice large area available to sleep on. Since it has three sides to it, they won't easily fall off. Not that these two are at risk of that.

Here is one of the Cat Rules that are on the same page:

BARF.... If you have to throw up, get to a bed quickly. Barf in the middle of the quilt, preferably a good thick one that doesn't fit in the washer. It will give the human a chance to go to a Laundromat and spend more money. Add this cost to the total you're already costing them. It makes you feel treasured and expensive. If you cannot manage to get to a quilter, try a chair or an Oriental rug. If there is no Oriental rug, shag is good. When throwing up on the carpet, make sure you back up so that it is as long as the human's bare foot. Move around as much as possible to leave a glob, here, there and everywhere. Stand back and watch your mistress gag and swear while she tries to clean it up.

From Cat's New Year's Resolutions, I found the following. I'm sure my kitties didn't make this resolution, because they still do it!:

We will not play Herd of Thundering Wildebeests Stampeding Across the Plains of the Serengeti over any human's bed while they're trying to sleep.

So, the other morning, the wake-up alarms blared to wake me. I hit snooze...several times. Rocky Girl got up on the curtain rod and jumped down, bellyflopping on my face. Wow, did that wake me up! Luckily no claws were used in that trick.

Friday Cat Blogging with Lady F and Parker D

This is a sight not often seen. Lady Fortuna doesn't usually hang out with any of the other cats. Parker Dmitri usually hangs out with Sgt Mango or Rocky Girl. It was a pleasant surprise to see these two girls side-by-side. I don't know what it is about that plastic storage container, but kitties seem to enjoy laying around on it. I have another, just like it, that contains kitty litter and seems to be in constant use.

The weather warmed up and most of the snow has turned to water. It's been great, not having to worry about frozen pavement, however, I now have a swamp in my yard.
