Alrighty, the good news is that I did work on the painting. The bad news is I messed up some stuff I now have to fix. The water is one. It used to be a nice color of blue. Well, I was mixing my blue and white last night and there was some black that got into it, and then it turns out it was the wrong shade of blue, anyway. It is closer to the original picture color of water, though.

I'm always impressed with people who can paint. I can never get what's in my head to translate onto canvas or paper or whatever.
Very nice, OWL. Like NTodd, I admire your skills. I myself can't paint the side of a barn. (Actually, considering some of those old tobacco ads I've seen painted on the sides of barns in Ohio, that's not such a strong statement.)
I'll never forget the week my late father figured out how to paint water... in a painting, I mean. He went around with a grin on his face for a long time. From that time forward, most of his paintings included water.

Thanks NTodd and Steve - I enjoy it. I've sold a couple when we have the art fair in the fall. This one is for me, though. I painted it twice already, but that was years ago and someone asked me to paint them.
Steve, as for water, I agree with your father, that is very difficult to do since there are different looks to it in each photo or situation. I have troubles... "No one knows the trouble that I've seen"...
