I wanted to thank everybody for their kind words and concrete aid. I could still use some help, if you have the time. Due to the affects of a storm a couple of weeks ago, this blogger is about to become homeless. We live on a margin here in Hawaii, and it's all gone: Home, car, job, assets & stuff.

How do you feel about the preznit screwing us all over? We spend billions on killing Iraqis, and now he wants to cut back services for our children, our poor, our colleges? He's cut the taxes for the rich, but are you seeing any cuts? I'm not.

Yeah, I'm RGE and Dasher. Someone posted a link in Atrios's comments about him, so I thought I'd warn people. If you want to give money to him, It doesn't affect me. It's your money.

Hate to break it to you Anonymous, but going through all the comment threads at Eschaton, "Dasher" is the only commenter who has mentioned scamming in conjunction with Cosa. I see you didn't deny being Geoffry. I saw that RGE posted at The American Street with the same line you used. Those are the 2 names besides "Geoffrey" and "Anonymous" who have claimed Cosa was scamming. By the way, did you go look at the "Geoffrey" link I posted in my earlier comment?
 

It was about a week ago. I couldn't find it again either. I'll look again, though. RGE used the same line I used because I'm RGE. I go by Dasher when I post at Atrios.

I did see the link you posted, but to be honest I didn't read it all. It was pretty long. I didn't deny being that guy because I didn't think you were serious when you asked that. I don't know what he said about CN. I don't read his site or CN's. I read Atrios and Daily KOS. Maybe I saw that post at Daily KOS. He posted there, too. I'll post a link to it when I find it if you really care. It doesn't sound like you do, though. That's fine. Like I said, I'm just spreading the word. Take it for what it's worth.

Anon, it's not that I don't care, it's that if you say something defamatory about someone, you'd better be ready to back it up. Let me tell you, when I find out about hoaxes I want to make sure other people know of same. Years ago, someone very close to me heard from her minister (he told the whole congregation) that Proctor and Gamble was in league with Satanism. She gave us handouts with their products so we could boycott them. I thought that sounded a little off - You don't just take someone's word like that. I wrote to the company asking them if they, in fact, had ties. I received a big packet from them explaining how that started and info regarding their lawsuits and wins. If I didn't care, why would I go back and check the comments of Eschaton? Why would I check Google when you, as RGE, told the readers to go & do a google. Yes, if you find the link to what you claim, I want to read it. Thanks. By the way, if you wanted to put your name down, you could always end your post with your name. Others do it:)
 

I understand. I'll look around for it today. I got a few emails as well, from the blogs where you can enter your email. Some negative, some telling me thanks, some saying the received an email from him too.

I know a lot of people work hard for the money they have. I guess I was just trying to say be careful who you send it to. There are a lot of scam artists out there. I can't tell them apart unless I actually know them personally. I don't know this guy. I just know I read a comment and have since received emails that said he's scamming and has done it before. Can I know for sure? Of course not, but I hate scammers, particularly when they are from our own ranks.

So I'm sorry I pissed you off. I was just trying to make everyone think and at least do research. I mean, none of us know anything about the guy. If nothing else, it gave me another blog to read.

Dasher - I have talked online to Cosa for many months now. I feel that he is the genuine article. I know that there is a stalker who has an agenda against him and another blogger, Maria. Since this really is the first time I've had any interaction with you, that I know about, I tend to ask for some sort of proof to an allegation - for all I know, you could be one of Geoffry's cronies. I understand that if there is a legitimate concern, blogs should know whether they are being used to push an agenda or used to scam the unaware. That is why I asked about the preznit - I think he's scammed the people in many ways, many times.
"Preznit" is the name we usually use instead of "President" in the comments at Eschaton, too - it's an inside joke (preznit gave me turkee). Glad you left your name - It's nice to know who I'm writing at:)

OWL, this dirtbag is posing as RGE of Maria's blog. He's the only one on the entire Internet that's ever posted anything negative about me. He spends several hours every day at my blog, even now when I haven't been able to post anything. The best thing to do is delete his comments, and ignore him. He's a sicko.

Kevin Hayden of The American Street is no idiot. It was his idea to post that appeal for me, and I deeply appreciate it. You are no dummy, either, OWL, and I thank you for helping me out here. The total amount of money received was not that much, but the outpouring of support really helped. A lot.

I thank all you good and decent people, and God help anyone who ever had to rely on Republicans for anything. You can see why, right here. They take, but they don't give.

I'd never even HEARD of Maria until this whole thing started. I use RGE because that's my name. I use dasher because I'm on the track team. I'm not "posing" as anyone. I'm me.
