Howard Dean, I've missed you...

Dean Vows to Lead Democrats Back to Power ..."We have to never be afraid to say what we believe," Dean said, as the crowd roared its approval. "Above all, we need to stand up for a different vision."
...As Dean worked up the crowd, one of his supporters shouted: "Give 'em hell, Howard!" ...

No, send them to Hell: Reform the Electoral system before 2006, Howie! Booyah!

On a right wing site, I left this comment about Mr. Dean:

As a foreigner, I always found that with people such as Dr. Howard Dean, as the president of the United States, I could have lots of respect for the country.

Dr. Dean was one of, if not the only one, presidentail candidates in the US's recent history that would not be a puppet to the big corporations if became president.

Also, Dr. Dean was one of, if not the only one, presidential candidates who criticized 50 years of US policies as not being even-handed when it comes to Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

These qualities are more than enough for the right wing America to jump on his throat, and Jeff Jarvis was very good at doing that as he passionately dispalyed how much he hated Mr. Dean.

Perhaps, people such as Dr. Dean can bring back to America what was lost by idiots such as Bush and Co.
Note: The guy I am referring to, denies that he is right wing, but majority of his posts suggest otherwise.

Having said that, I have to add that there are even more decent people than Mr. dean who can change the America for the good, but the "effectively" two party system of the US will not let them rise to their deserved levels. A good example of these people is Ralf Nader.

I was deeply saddend when Dr Dean was literally run out of the race by the right wing media pundits. I believe Kerry was an attempt by dems to dummy up the party to attract as many right leaning undecideds as possible. As we know now that didn't work. I can't help but wonder how the race would have played out if we had been able to focus more on the issues and Bush's failure to lead effectively. Instead of spending so much time defending Kerry's military career and his so-called 'flip-flop' voting history.
The dems need to draw a line in the sand, take their stand and stick with it. Hopefully Dr Dean will be the man to lead them to that path.

Faramin, you're right, there are a lot of good people out there. Maybe with Dean stirring them up, we can see change for the better.
Wanda, I, too, was appalled by the media attack against Dean.
If they would have paid attention to any of bush's sound bites the way they focused on Dr. Dean's yell, we probably would have had a new president.
Dean has good ideas, but his best quality, to me, is that he genuinely cares about "the people". Money does not seem to be the most important thing to him...unlike certain people in office, I could mention.
