Is Iran on the agenda?

In the comment section of Eschaton, tubino points out this link to a new article about Scott Ritter.
The article says that Scott Ritter told a group that George Bush signed off on a plan to attack Iran in June. Now, this is worrysome to me. I don't feel that we have the right to keep attacking the Middle East countries. So far, we've attacked Afghanistan (in revenge for 9/11) and Iraq (because Saddam had WMD - so the govt said, but now can't find). It's time to stop the warmongering and try peace.

Comments:
It is scary, very scary to even imagine what this criminal gang did to Iraq, they do it to Iran as well.

American anti-war movement has an extra urgent responsibility to start fighting this murderous agenda.

No way we're going to attack Iran. It would be counterproductive and only give the mad mullahs an excuse to crack down on the democracy movement there.

Now, regarding the "criminal gang" comment. Was faramin refering to the regime of Saddam Hussein who butchered men, women and children by the hundreds of thousands for DECADES?

When faramin talks about a "murderous agenda" it becomes apparent that he or she has allowed their ideology to pervert the language.

Come back to planet earth... it gets cold out in space.....

Mike,

No way we're going to attack Iran. It would be counterproductive and only give the mad mullahs an excuse to crack down on the democracy movement there. This is absolutely true.

However, to make my comment even more clear so you undersatnd, I was referring to Bush gang.

Speaking of Saddam, I can't agree with you more as it is absolutely true that he did commit plenty of crimes including war crimes and crime against the humanity. But what should not be forgetten, right here; on earth, is that he was being backed by the US government and other "civilized" countries while he was commiting most of his crimes.

I guess my feelings are that Scott Ritter didn't lie to us before... someone did, do you know who did? Speaking of brutal, on the left side of my blog are some reference links. You want to see brutal, click on the HIGHWAY OF DEATH LINK. Oh, here it is.. I realize that was the sitting president's daddy, but I think you need to read it/realize that the rush to the current Iraq war was built on lies and mistatements... think about all the innocents that died and the soldiers that died ... and realize that WE started that war.
Don't give me that blather that "Saddam wouldn't disarm - bullshit - he obviously did." He wouldn't follow the resolution 1491 or whatever it is... well, how do we know? Iraq did give the UN a manifesto thousands of pages long...
As for US attacking Iran, why are we wardrumming at them? Why are we trying to get our old allies back?

Oh, yeah, my link to Highway of Death is to show you that not only Saddam was brutal.....
We're certainly NOT innocent, eh?
