Sgt Mango. He's really turned into a good kitty. The picture behind him is from Haiti. A friend lent it to me so I could copy it for myself:) I just thought it was such a neat picture. Posted by Hello

Looks just like the cat that came in through our kitchen window, off the fire escape, in Manhattan. He was cool. We never even gave him a name. He was everybody's cat, the whole building. Just dropped in from time to time, to catch a nap on the couch or a quick Friskies break. Cool.

Great name for yours. Sgt. Mango. Hm.

Okay, I've got to know: How did he get the name "Sgt. Mango." It's a great name and there must be a story behind.

And he has the most wonderful wise expression on his face. There is almost a humanity intesnity to it. Don't tell him I said that...the human part.

I, too, would love to hear the story of his name. He's adorable! Did you post it a while back? You may have to link to yourself!

I'd love to know the history too! :)

Bryan, you're pretty close. His original name was George - I asked people for help naming him. His name ended up being Sgt. Mango Goldstein... then my last name. When I took him to the vet last month, I heard him laughing with his receptionist about the name:)

He looks very healthy and happy. Living with you has been very good for him.

There is just something so unique about cats. Sgt Mango is proof! He looks like he's thinking, "Okay hurry up an get this nonsense over with". Love that name!

that cat does look good. seems like he's an avid reader too. are those books on the back of the chair? so you or the cat or both are print junkies. looks like our house. and now we have the never ending stream of glowing text and pictures from the internets as well. at least the new stuff is tightly contained. it stays in the computer for the most part.
