I hope the mail's not late...
Hit-and-run driver upends mailbox row at post office
...An unknown driver crashed into and knocked over the seven blue mail collection boxes on Fifth Street outside the downtown Columbia post office this morning..."It ripped them out of the bases," Cook said of the mail boxes. "Those things are heavy. I can’t lift one. It takes two men just to move them."..How the auto could drive away after knocking seven (est. 150 lb each) mail collection boxes, I don't understand. I bet that car limped home. The estimated cost of replacement? $1,500 Each mail collection box.
