Remember when all the freepers were telling us how good it has gotten in Iraq? That was last year! I remember reading E-mails and other propaganda about the improvements in Iraq, but to read the newspaper, to look at the news, there is no verification of any of the claims made. Nothing to back up the crap spewed non-stop for a while, there. This is a very good article. I found this article in one of my Sunday papers. When I went to Charley's archives, it was 4 or 5 articles down. I figure if I read the archives, I'll be ahead of my paper when it, finally, publishes the articles.

Instead of Iraqi oil paying for the war, as the neocons had promised, we are paying $61 a barrel for oil. After two years of American occupation, the Iraqi people still don't have (1) security, (2) dependable power, (3) cheap and plentiful gasoline, (4) clean water, (5) a decent sewer system or (6) a viable economy...
