So much going on.

Bush says hunt for bin Laden has not slackened
...The Washington Post reported that the search for bin Laden had gone "stone cold" and Democrats also contend the Iraq war has shifted resources and attention away from that hunt.

"You know, there is a kind of an urban myth here in Washington about how this administration hasn't stayed focused on Osama bin Laden," Bush said at a news conference. "Forget it. It's convenient throw-away lines, you know, when people say that."...
I guess Osama's still hiding. Where oh where can he be? He must think he's a movie star, putting out so many videos. He sure knows how to bring on the fear.

Family Begs Attacker to Return Mo. Baby What type of creepy freak would steal someone's baby?
...The attacker walked into the home, told Abby Woods' mother "I'm here to take your child," then slashed the young mother's throat and fled with the 1-week-old child...

When I was young, an acquaintance showed up with a Doberman Pinscher. I asked her where she'd gotten it. It was in someone's yard, she walked right up to it and stole it. She kept the dog for a couple hours, then realized she couldn't take it home. She told the owners she found it running loose. I realize it's not the same as grabbing someone's baby at knifepoint, but that's pretty whacko behavior, too.

Gas prices are down to $2.09 a gallon, today. It's been lowering all week. It was high through the summer vacation time, when more gas would be consumed. Those oil companies know how to make an easy buck! I wish I had an oil company.

Atrios has been posting a photo of Karl Rove with Mickey Mouse ears, with each post. I missed the beginning of that. I wonder what it's all about? Oh, I just realized... Disney World/ABC/Karl Rove's machinations.

Tom Hanks and Red Hot Chili Peppers on SNL tonight. Steve Martin and Prince are going to be on SNL next Saturday. Wow!
