Parker Dmitri R.I.P.

I fell asleep in the recliner, last night. Parker Dmitri + other cats slept on top of me. Around 4:00AM, I woke and saw PD on the mat. I thought she was sleeping. After a bit, I looked to see if there was a heartbeat. There wasn't. Goodbye, my darling little cat. Thank you for the eight years of companionship. We will miss you. R.I.P.

Cat photobomb?

There are several pictures on the Internet that show pictures being taken as a cat walks into the shot.
Cat Photobombs
This photo was from late last fall. Dan D. Lion decided to get into the picture, just as I took it. Nice!

Happy Result.

Dan D Lion.
I took Dan D. Lion to the vet to get his shots. I also asked them to check him for FIV. His test came back negative. YAY!!

Dan D. celebrated the good news by catching a mouse or two. Lately, he's also been catching the moles that don't know better than to tunnel in my yard. What a good cat!

Happy Friday Saturday! As always, check out the wonderful animal pictures linked for Friday Ark at The Modulator.

Just a couple photos

Kitty was sitting on the table, outside. I thought it would be nice to take her picture. How cute!
I planted this hibiscus, this year. It was from one of the local nurseries. I wanted to get some of the non tropical, so I wouldn't have to take them in for the winter. It turns out, the blooms on this plant are dinner plate size. I plan to plant another one, next year.
As I walked out the door, to go to work, I spied this little visitor. He was hanging out on the door. Lucky for me, I had the camera.
I hardly ever see quail. When I spied these two, crossing the road, I reached for the camera!

Hope you all are doing well. I don't get on very often, anymore. I figured I had the time, this morning, because The Walking Dead marathon is on. Might as well post, while the commercials are on:)

Friday cat blogging early: Before and after

Parker Dmitri is ready for summer. I think the other cats are jealous, though. She prances around like a poodle, now that she doesn't have all that hair weighing her down!

Happy Friday! As always, check out the wonderful animal pictures linked for Friday Ark at The Modulator. (I said it was early:).

New Cat in Town

There's a new cat in town.  This is Dan D Lion.  He arrived here last summer.  He stayed near, but I could never catch him, until this year.  I tried to live trap him, but caught an opossum.  I gave up on the live trap when winter arrived.  Finally, this spring, he overcame his fear.  I gave him some food, and one day, he came up close and rubbed his head and body under my hand.

I now have another cat.  He went to the vet for his shots, but can't get fixed until he gets a booster shot - 30 days after the initial shots.  Ten days after that, he gets to have surgery.  The other outside cats (Midnight being one of the as she is inside/outside) will be happy if the surgery stops him from chasing them.

Friday Cat Blogging - My Mother's Cat

This is Cat the cat.  We thought she was a male, when she was taken home.  Turns out, some orange cats are girls.  She's an outdoor/indoor cat, and unfortunately, she loves birds.  Hopefully, she loves mice as much as birds.

Happy Friday! As always, check out the wonderful animal pictures linked for Friday Ark at The Modulator.
