Some pictures from my yard

One little hummingbird, plotting how he can get all the food.

Five hummingbirds trying to figure out how safe it is.

The morning glories are glorious!

Chi-chi (Che-che, Sunny, or Sunshine) is no longer a puppy.

Cat photobomb?

There are several pictures on the Internet that show pictures being taken as a cat walks into the shot.
Cat Photobombs
This photo was from late last fall. Dan D. Lion decided to get into the picture, just as I took it. Nice!

The dinner plate sized hibiscus bloomed for quite some time. Dan D Lion likes to sit in front of his flowers, on his chair. Many times, when I sit in one of the chairs, he likes to sit on the table.

I hope the summer has been good to everyone.

Friday Cat Blogging - Plants!

I brought in the plants over the weekend. I was pleasantly surprised that my Elephant Ear had a beautiful blossom. Unfortunately, the flower disappeared when I got close to it.

Happy Friday! As always, check out the wonderful animal pictures linked for Friday Ark at The Modulator.

Friday Cat Blogging - Flowers

Even though I don't much care for the cold months, it's always exciting to bring the plants in for winter. It's nice because they're where I see them all the time, and can always spot when they are flowering. It's amazing because I never know which plant will blossom first.
The really bizarre thing is, the flowers take on characteristics of cats that live here. Interesting...

Friday cat blogging - Not really cats.

Yellow kitties!! and don't they look happy?Oh, oh. Is that Rocky Girl, out and about, again? I'd better borrow my sister's trap.More yellow kitties!! When these kitties are flourishing, I know spring is really close.Well, rats! It looks like Mango got out to be with his buddy, Rocky Girl. I wonder how difficult it would be to catch him in the trap?

FCB-Thanksgiving Day.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. I was lucky enough to be invited to my sister's place. She's always fun to visit. My sister has a chicken tree. When she wants chicken dinner, she just walks out and picks a chicken off the tree. I kid. Sis has a huge bruise on her arm. When asked how she got it, she said she fell out of a tree, while trying to catch chickens. In trees at night, they make easy owl food.My father and I walked out to see the horses. Prince Van Doe wasn't too thrilled to see us. He's been separated from his ma. His pasture pals are Sammie (pictured) and Jeremiah.
My sister's hibiscus was blooming. Such a beautiful flower. The kitty wasn't thrilled to have so many humans visiting his mom. The dog was happy, though. She's always happy. If the cats wanted to be held and played with, Thanksgiving was the day. There are four cats in the household. One cat stayed hidden most of the time. This cat came out and was passed from person to person.

Sometimes, I feel like a alien.

I'm not sure what this flower is. It looks like a vine of some sort, so could it be a Clematis?

Now for my gripe of the day.....

I wasn't born in Missouri, but I've lived here a long time. My grammer used to be pretty good, but lately, I find my friends' and co-workers' grammatical habits are rubbing off. It's quite irritating. The other day, I blew up at a co-worker (and friend) that it's: "we went somewhere," not, "we had went somewhere". She said, "oh, did I say, 'had went'?"

I guess I'll just have to blend in.

So, me and my co-worker had went to a meeting, where we talked about a program that had been ran. In it, a certain field needed to have a "N" populated automatically. We seen the output from the program and found it good.

That's just for starters. I kid you not!

It sure is Monday.

How do you like that? I uploaded the photo, then titled it, accidentally hit enter (I guess) and it posted. Yup... Monday it is. At least it's at the end of the day. I thought this nice flower picture would be a fun change from all those cat pictures. Maybe, Friday I'll feel like posting cat pictures. We'll see.
