Just thinking about things.

While driving down a road, in a town near me, I saw this backyard. It was so interesting, I had to turn into the next street and find my way back. I thought it was photo-worthy. It gives me some ideas on other yard animals that would be fun to create. Maybe I will.

What an election, huh?!? I was saddened for a while...well, truth to tell, still am saddened, but then thought about those second amendment folks, and how HC was (more or less) threatened with them. I don't think the president-elect really wanted the presidency. He was too caught up in his rhetoric, and planning on all the financial deals he could make from running. Now, it looks as though he can still make all sorts of financial deals because of existing laws that (he says - and apparently others agree) make the president immune from conflict of interest! What?

I'm all for recounts of WI, MI, and PA! ...And if they find the counts were messed with, perhaps all the states need recounts. Good call, Jill Stein!

Friday Cat Blogging - Lady Fortuna

It's been that type of week. I cut my bangs, but one side was too long. Then the other side was too long, then there were no bangs left to cut. They will grow out.

Frustrating times can seem a little less frustrating when there are kitties around to pet...even if Lady Fortuna's required sleep program has to be put on hold for a couple minutes.

Happy Friday! As always, check out the wonderful animal pictures linked for Friday Ark at The Modulator.

FCB-Working My Butt Off.

Have you ever had one of those days where it seems like you work your butt off, but someone else ends up getting the benefit? Grey Feather wants to tell her story.

"I was working real hard, trying to get the ball. I knew it was there. I'm sure someone else stuck it under there, but I wanted to play with it."

"I finally pulled it out, but it slipped away as though it had a mind of its own. After all that energy spent, I needed to take a short rest."

"I knew someone was on the other side of the box because I could hear kittycat breathing. I wasn't sure who it was. I didn't want to get beat up for my lunch money. Sometimes you can never tell who's going to be behind door number two."

"Well, shit!"

Happy Friday! As always, check out the wonderful animal pictures linked for Friday Ark at The Modulator.

Making friends happy.

I was listening to NPR this morning, and a story came on, about the current US administration planning on offering military technologies to Arab countries - in an attempt to counter Iran,... and terrorism. One of those countries is Saudi Arabia. Now, I forget,... since I've heard so much about the war in Iraq, and how our troops are fighting in Iraq because of 911,... but weren't most of the 911 attackers Saudi? Does this make sense, or am I the crazy nut who knows nothing about the world, and needs to realize that making jetloads of blood money (through war, warmongering (tv and radio) and weaponry sales) is patriotic?

Sometimes, I feel like a alien.

I'm not sure what this flower is. It looks like a vine of some sort, so could it be a Clematis?

Now for my gripe of the day.....

I wasn't born in Missouri, but I've lived here a long time. My grammer used to be pretty good, but lately, I find my friends' and co-workers' grammatical habits are rubbing off. It's quite irritating. The other day, I blew up at a co-worker (and friend) that it's: "we went somewhere," not, "we had went somewhere". She said, "oh, did I say, 'had went'?"

I guess I'll just have to blend in.

So, me and my co-worker had went to a meeting, where we talked about a program that had been ran. In it, a certain field needed to have a "N" populated automatically. We seen the output from the program and found it good.

That's just for starters. I kid you not!

FCB - Dear Powerball...

Please let mommy win the big jackpot. We're getting tired of being stuck inside, while the stupid birds get to play around outside. If mommy won all that money, she could build us a nice large outside run for us to play in. Maybe one of those birds would land on it so we could catch and eat it. Yeah! Sincerely, Rocky Girl.

Hoping for a decent week.

When I got up this morning, to go to work, it was raining. I was happy it was raining, even though I'd watered the garden, last night. The rest of the plants and trees needed a drink, too. After working my shift in the "bowels of hell", I have to tell you, I'm glad the weekend is over!

This is the sky tonight. Isn't it spectacular? My cats were waiting in the window, when I got home. I think they may have enjoyed the sunset.

I haven't gone to many blogs to see what's happening, because, quite frankly, I've been too lazy. Besides working all the time, I've been re-reading some of my Dick Frances books. I haven't even been paying attention to the news. I did, however, see the article about the beef that might be tainted with E. Coli. That figures. I seldom eat beef, so Friday, I happened to have a cheeseburger...It was delicious, but now, it will probably be another long while before I have another.

What is happening to our food supply? It seems there's one scare after another. Luckily for me, I'm not in one of the states with the tainted beef. I'm hoping you, my friends, haven't had any problems with it.
