Friday Cat Blogging - Beanbag again!
The beautiful Princess Grey Feather has discovered the wonderful properties of the beanbag. She doesn't have to miss out on any sleep because she's not going to fall off! As long as the other kitties stay away, she is very happy to sleep here, all day. It's not that she doesn't like the other kitties...she just prefers to hang out alone...or maybe, she really doesn't like the other kitties:) Hahahah.
As you know, my camera only takes pictures of kitties, so this must be a flying kitty. Wonderful!
I found a cardinal tree! Isn't that something?!? I know...they are kitties, too, but I heard they are called Cardinal Kitties. It must be because of their red fur.Whew! We made it through the week! Happy Friday! As always, check out the wonderful animal pictures linked for Friday Ark at The Modulator.

Finally - took the kayak out.
I've been meaning to take the kayak out, all summer long. I had to work a couple weekends, and before that, all sorts of things had to be done. Finally, I took it out on Sunday. It was a great day. There were a couple boats out there, too. Since those people were fishing, I didn't paddle as far as I wanted to. I didn't want to scare the fish, if they were catching anything. I made several laps across the water, and spent some time just floating around. It was marvelous!
I was able to do some bird watching, too. I took several pictures, but I couldn't get a really good shot, and as I moved too close, the heron took to wing. The wing shot didn't turn out very well, either.
But, all in all, it was as just as fantastic as I thought it would be.Friday, May 23, 2008
Friday Cat Blogging - Sgt Mango...and the birds.
Another nosy kitty! Sgt. Mango is watching the neighbor trim the lawn.
Here's Grey Feather's buddy, the cardinal. What a hairdo!
Here he is again, but if you look at the tree, you might see Ms. Cardinal. She's very quiet. I guess he was trying to draw away the cats with all his chirping. Goodness knows where he would have led them, should they have gotten out!Happy Friday! As always, check out the wonderful animal pictures linked for Friday Ark at The Modulator.
A new story has been posted at The Practical Press.
...And Happy Birthday to Oldwhitelady's sister! She doesn't look a day older than she looked yesterday!

Friday Cat Blogging-Grey Feather
Grey Feather watches the UPS guy stop at the neighbor's house.
Cardinal watches Grey Feather watch him. He had a dandy fine time strutting for the camera. He would fly off, then come back, making his chirping noises. At one point, he landed on the roof next to us. He strutted up and jumped on a vent cap. My camera took the pictures, but not very well. There was also a dove sitting on that roof. The dove pretty much ignored the cardinal, but Grey Feather kept watching.
Happy Friday! As always, check out the wonderful animal pictures linked for Friday Ark at The Modulator.
Remember those "Happiness is...."?
Happiness is a warm cat.
I can't fall asleep because my mind's churning,
or I wake from a nightmare in the middle of the night.
Kitty's laying there within petting distance.
I pet her a couple times, and sleep appears.
For both of us.

FCB - Cats & Bagels
These kitties were hanging around at my friend's bird feeders. I'm sure if they waited long enough, some birds would come along and they could have a snack.
What goes best with the kitties in the picture above? Why bagels, of course! I was surprised that Sam's Bakery carried these kind of bagels. They're so big, you can only carry one at a time!Happy Friday! As always, check out the wonderful animal pictures linked for Friday Ark at The Modulator.
